Start with one working process.
I work through a real example with the people who use the current process: where a record starts, who changes it and what happens next. I then define the data, roles and first-release functions, develop the application and test it with representative records before planning a rollout.
React can provide the management interface, with PostgreSQL and Supabase supporting structured data and account permissions where appropriate. APIs connect other business tools. The architecture also needs a backup, export and update plan so the system can be maintained after handover.
What affects development cost?
Cost depends on the number of processes, users and permission rules, the quality of existing data, required reports and external integrations. Importing years of inconsistent spreadsheets can require as much planning as the new screens. A sample file and a walkthrough of the current process help me prepare a realistic estimate.

Will this replace my accounting or ERP software?
Only if that is the agreed requirement. A smaller custom application can complement an existing system by handling a specific process and passing information through an API or agreed import/export format. I assess that option before proposing a full replacement.
